Our Founders


Jason Mitchell, MPA
 
 
Jason is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University, he is a former Legislative Director for the California Legislature.
 
He has a heart for and an expertise in developing youth programs that help youth transition into successful adult lifestyles. 
 
In 2004 he was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) and began kidney dialysis. After undergoing more than 550 dialysis treatments, Jason received a long awaited kidney transplant in 2008.
 
A public speaker for organ donation education, he has also supported the development of an online donor registry.   
 
His contributions in the 
area of online donor registry have led to the registration of more than 1 million potential organ donors.
 
Tamara Mitchell, MPA
 
 
As a former Chief Consultant to the California Legislature, Tamara analyzed and developed public health and education policies.
 
Her interest and commitment to equipping youth with the tools to flourish is marked by her promotion of social etiquette and intellectual development strategies. She has also acted in the capacity of protocol officer for elected officials, dignitaries, and heads of state.
 
While standing as a strong source of encouragement and support for her husband Jason, Tamara continued to be an analytical resource for private and governmental entities.
 
Tamara is the author of "Great Americans: When Ordinary Just Won't Do", which pays tribute to Americans who have transformed institutions and society.
